Waste management fee

The fee for waste disposal, not including hazardous waste, is

• EUR 0.09 / nt for waste
• Minimum charge: EUR 46.00 / vessel.

The waste management fee will not be collected from vessels that take care of their own waste, and which have made an agreement to this effect with the Port of Kemi. Hazardous waste from a vessel is charged according to the actual costs.

Waste containing oil from vessels

If the shipping company / vessel is not exempt from the obligation to leave waste containing oil, and thus the fee for such waste, the fee for waste containing oil is EUR 0.25 / nt.
If the amount of waste containing oil to be left is more than 20 tn, the exceeding part shall be charged according to actual costs accrued. If the vessel has been released from the obligation to leave the waste containing oil, and yet leaves waste containing oil in the harbour, the port shall collect the actual costs for the handling and transportation of the waste.

Cleaning fee

Any cleaning needs caused by vessels making deliveries of paper fillers and other bulk products will be handled by the Port of Kemi, and the vessel in question will be invoiced at a rate of EUR 350/vessel.
The cleaning of liquid substances is carried out by the substance handlers. Any cleaning services carried out by the Port of Kemi will be invoiced according to the actual cleaning costs.
