Access to and movement within the harbour area requires an access permit that is issued by the Port of Kemi and is in compliance with its automatic access monitoring system. Anyone attempting to enter the harbour or move around within the harbour area must be able to provide, upon request, proof of identification and a valid reason for being in the harbour. Unjustified loitering in the harbour is strictly forbidden.
As a result of the ISPS Code, we are not permitted to give harbour access to any vehicles about which we have not been informed in advance. A temporary permit is issued for transports or visitors based on the information in the advance notice provided.
Transport companies and visitors must acquire access permits for their vehicles. The permit is generally personal, but company vehicles may also receive a vehicle-specific permit.
Any issues concerning the permits are handled by Port Control, tel. +358 40 548 2065.
