Ajos Harbour is ideal for importing oil products, chemicals, lye, and bulk products such as raw wood, wood chips, paper fillers, e.g. kaolin, and containers. The harbour’s crane operations are carried out using mobile cranes.
Ajos is well-suited for the export of products from the forest industry, paper, chemical pulp, cardboard, sawn timber, as well as products from the metal industry. Bulk products such as iron scrap and wood pellets can also be exported from Ajos. Containers may, of course, contain all types of export products.
A liner service runs three times each week to Europe and once every three weeks to North America in order to secure the frequent transportation of goods. Ajos Harbour's 10-metre draught makes it possible to load up to 30,000 tons of goods at a time.

Veitsiluoto Harbour serves primarily as the import station for raw materials en route to the Veitsiluoto plant operated by the Stora Enso company. The harbour primarily handles imports of raw wood and lime.
